Having a track day.

Many of us feel that our cars would be better suited on a racetrack. In the case of cruisers,  people have modified their cars so this probably would be true. It is not possible to drive beyond the 70 mph limit  on UK roads, though it is possible to take cars out on a track day. Track days are a great idea as they enable people to test out their cars in a safe and fast environment. It also allows like-minded people to come together to share ideas, swap stories and also give tips on their vehicles.

Track days are where a local motor racing circuit opens up it’s doors for anyone who wishes to drive their car around the circuit. This is done safely and in compliance with plenty of staff on hand to make sure that everything runs smoothly. There is generally no racing on the track; it is purely a way to test the car’s timings and open them up a bit. It also allows the drivers to show off their cars and what they can do. The day also features many retailers that will offer services to the owners, for example Cheltenham Alloy Repair specialists Apex wheels.

For many of us this is an affordable way to actually get out on the track. Track days include driving performance cars with an instructor. There is in some cases the opportunity for people to drive single seater monocoque racing cars, however when it comes to this you will need to have a special racing licence before you can proceed.
