Discrimination is one of the most unpleasant factors that can be experienced in the workplace. Sadly it’s still an experience that many of us go through and, despite being illegal, is regularly cited as a reason for dismissal that is unfair or seen as constructive. If you feel that you have been through this and have a Constructive Dismissal Claim, you can look to Employment Law Friend who will be there for you.

There are many examples of discrimination, and these are not always felt on their own; sometimes, they are combined.
- Racial. This is where you are discriminated against because of your skin colour and race.
- Religious. If you are a person of faith, this should not be held against you when at work.
- Age. This is becoming increasingly numerous as a reason for Constructive dismissal.
- Gender. This covers your sex and how your working life can be made complex. For example, maternity and paternity leave and your rights to it.

These are the most well-known examples, but this can also include your lifestyle and sexual orientation choices as well. It is a sad fact that we are still unable to accept people for what they believe in and look like. Until this changes we shall need the help and assistance of companies like Employment Law Friend. At least now we have legislation to back up any action should you need it.
