Three Ways to Warm Up your Conservatory this Winter

In the winter, one of the rooms in the house that many of us find too cold to use is the conservatory. When the temperatures drop, spending time in the conservatory can just feel too cold, so many people tend to not use the room during a colder spell of weather.

This is a shame as it is nice to be able to use all of the rooms in our home throughout the year. If you have a cold conservatory, here are three things that you can do to make it cosy even when the temperatures are hitting below zero!

Heat it Well – There are many options when it comes to heating a conservatory, so look into what suits you best. An air source heat pump can be used to power electric underfloor heating, or why not get a wood burner installed to make it really cosy.

Replace the Roof – The roof is the biggest area of heat loss as heat rises, and if you have an older conservatory, it may well not be as well insulated as it could be. Getting a professional like this conservatory roof conversions Cheltenham based company https://www.proceiling.co.uk/ to replace your roof is a great way to get more use out of it in the winter.

Use Curtains and Blinds – Being mostly made from glass, the cold is more easily felt in a conservatory. Getting some well-made curtains and blinds for the room will help you to keep the heat in. This will also help you to keep the room feeling cooler in the summer as you can reduce how much light is getting into the room.
