If you are heading here in the autumn, then Dondea forest is a must! The walk from Leixlip to Maynooth is a beautiful canal walk and takes roughly two hours. See the beautiful countryside as well as the canal itself, home to many species of animals and plants. There are also plenty of places to stop for refreshments along the way.
