How to Express Your Brand on Your Website

There are several elements that are important for conveying your brand identity on the web. The colour palette you choose is one of them. Using red is a key element for Coca Cola, for instance. Ideally, you should stick to a colour scheme of three or less shades. Use colour theory to choose attractive combinations for your website that will capture attention and be easy to remember for consumers.

The first element you should integrate into your website is your logo. The logo is often the first thing a client notices about your business, so it’s essential to design it to stick in their minds. Developing your brand identity also includes communicating your company’s values and principles and these should be consistently applied across your communications and especially your website. The colour palette is a fundamental element of your website experience, and should be consistent with your overall theme. The content of your website should also reflect your brand’s values and principles. The content should also reflect your company’s industry, but it doesn’t have to be the same as your competitors. The key is to find a niche that you’re an industry expert in and focus on that. An ‘About Us’ section is the perfect place to share your story and focus on what your brand is really about. The homepage is the best place to fully capture your brand personality and what you do.
